Genesis Open Golf 2023 Live Free Online broadcast The stars will be out in Pacific Palisades this week as the PGA Tour travels to Riviera Country Club for the 2023 Genesis Invitational. Nineteen of the top 20 players in the Official World Golf Rankings will tee off in what will be the Tour's third designated event of its new playing calendar. Among them will be Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm -- the three men atop the world of golf right now -- but they will take a backseat to the man who reigned supreme in the game for more than a decade, Tiger Woods. His commitment to the field came as a moderate surprise and will mark Woods' first start in a regular PGA Tour event since the 2020 Zozo Championship. The Genesis Invitational, which has a purse of $20 million, will be played Feb. 16-19 at Riviera Country Club, just outside of Los Angeles. Since it’s a designated event, virtually all of the top players on the PGA Tour are in the field, including Tiger Woods. This will be Woods’ first official PGA Tour event since the 2022 Open Championship. Woods is the tournament’s host. Going into the tournament, Jon Rahm has the best golf odds to win at +750. As with last week’s WM Phoenix Open, the Genesis Invitational is one of the PGA Tour’s new “designated events.” That means all of the biggest PGA Tour pros will be playing this week, and they’ll be competing for an enormous prize pool of $20 million on a historic golf course. If that’s not enough to get you excited about this week’s event, the long-awaited return of Tiger Woods should do the trick. Woods, who is the tournament host, announced last week that he would be teeing it up in the tournament to go along with his hosting duties. This marks the first time since last July’s Open Championship that Woods has competed in an official event. On Thursday afternoon, Woods will be featured in Main Feed and ESPN+ Bonus Coverage, teeing off at 3:04 p.m. ET, in a must-see group with reigning FedExCup champion and world No. 2 player Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas, the 2022 PGA Championship winner and No. 7 ranked player in the world. With a morning tee time on Friday, Woods, McIlroy and Thomas will be the Marquee Group, starting their second round at 10:24 a.m. ET. PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ is the only place fans can watch every shot by Woods on both Thursday and Friday. The 2023 Genesis Invitational takes place this Thursday, February 16 through Sunday, February 19 at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, California as Tiger Woods makes his highly anticipated return to PGA Tour competition. This will be his first PGA Tour start since the 150th Open Championship at St. Andrews last July. RELATED: Like many aging GOATs, Tiger Woods believes he isn’t yet past his expiration date Woods, who has 82 PGA Tour victories and is tied with Sam Snead for the most wins in PGA Tour history, made his PGA tour debut at the Genesis in 1992 at just 16-years old. He has never won the event and in his 14 starts, Woods has made 11 cuts, earning two runner-up finishes in 1998 and 1999.
